Party Cannon - Partied In Half

Scotland, the land of bagpipes, mythes and whiskey. Partying is a big thing in Scotland and Party Cannon certainly does that and also brings that over the sea to the mainland of Europe. Party Cannon exists by the presence of Chis (Bass), Jack Welsh (Guitar), Martin Gazur (Drums), Stony Reddie (Vocals), Craig Robinson (Guitar).Bringing the party across the globe since 2010, it was time that the party slam of Party Cannon was put on a compact disc.
Their first EP is called Partied In Half. The album cover features a guy (that has been partying a lot) cut in half where there's confetti coming out off his waist. He was obviously partying to hard. The EP 'Partied In Half' has 3 songs: 'Duc Taped To A Flag Pole', 'Tyrone, You Put That Sugar Down' and 'High Five Ghost'. Partied In Half was released by Autopsy Records.
Iconic to the slam/grind scene is that almost every song starts with a piece of a movie or some random sentences. No difference with the first song of the EP. Duct Taped To A Flag Pole begins with a hilarious part with a she-male talking to some police officers. After that the massive slam party starts with some massive breakdowns and blast beats. But what immediately pops up is that Stony uses different kind of vocals styles like: Low pig-squeels, normal grunting and a combination of the both. It really pops out because it is weird and noticeable.
The next song is 'Tyrone, You Put That Sugar Down'. This song is a good song to listen if you both like death metal and slam. However TYPTSD it is a combination of Dying Fetus and Devourment. At the end of the song there is the iconic random sentence but weirdly enough I've never heard that bands put that on the end of the song so this is a really surprise.
'Spasticated'. That is the word that describes a party that Party Cannon would like the attend and see live. Almost the whole song is a slam-paradise and I quite like that. It is not that de slam-bits are overdone like deathcore bands or even some other slam bands.
8 out of 10. I'd like to see more of Party Cannon in the future and so far so good.
