The new Dutch brutal slamming death metal machine is called Dehumanization. After releasing some demo track for 2 years, Dehumanization got signed by Morbid Generations to do a full length record. Living in the underground for a couple of years, now they’ve presented me with their album ‘Meat Exposition’! After talking and seeing time in real life, every time I asked the guys: when does the album come out?? And one time they told me that they are releasing it through Morbid Generations. When it came out, I ordered the cd and now is the time to review it.

 

9 slamming brutal songs are on this disk. Starting off with the title track ‘Meat Exposition’. First things first, turn the volume up because the volume isn’t that hard. But when you did that, you’ll notice that the production isn’t the best but damn, there are some awesome slams (and even bass-drops) on the first song. Towards the next one! ‘My Favourite Sextoy (Is A Chainsaw)’.

After seeing them live 3 times, every time this is one song were everybody goes absolutely insane. On the cd, the sick pig-squeals and gutturals really pop-out and the gut-destroying bass drops give ‘My Favourite Sextoy (Is A Chainsaw)’ a lot of sick extra’s. Now the third song that has once been dedicated to me during a gig. ‘Fucked Like A Dog, Killed Like A Pig’.

 

This starting riff is pretty much my favourite riff of the whole album. It absolutely is one of a kind that I’ve never heard in a brutal death metal band. During reviewing this song, my right hand starts to do some Frank Mullen-Handchops which suits the song very well. You can probably tell that this is my favourite song of ‘Meat Exposition’. Next up is ‘Necrophilic Mass Desecration’.

With this lovely song title you can guess this one is going to be enormously brutal. After guessing that right, I don’t even remember putting the sound a little harder. The production sound of Meat Exposition isn’t that amazing but after 3 songs you totally forget that. With more of a Guttural Engorgement influences this song blasts me towards the next song, which is called ‘Abandoned’.

 

With the art of slowing fast death metal riffs, Dehumanization adds to those riffs, pinch-harmonics and slam elements. A lot of headbangable riffs combined with slam influences, what does a brutal metal music fan need? ‘Rotten Rectum Rape’ is next up!

Immediately, this song reminds me of one other brutal death metal band from Holland, Contorted Mind. It has some similar riffs and style of playing but since this is Dehumanization this songs amazingly brutal. One the other hand, there hasn’t been one song that really has got me doing the OH-SHIT-Face, for those who don’t know what that is. It is the face you pull when you are brutally surprised by something. But that can change on the next song ‘Give Birth To My Fist’.

 

And yes, they pull it off on this song. My OH-SHIT-Face has come on the halfway-time of this song. Some other thing to notice, Loek (Singer) has doing his gutturals amazing on this song, the same for his pig-squeals. I love the fast death metal riffs on this one, it reminds me of some early death metal. Next one is ‘Crowbar Mutilation’.

If I’m correct this is one of their first songs they ever wrote. ‘Crowbar Mutilation’ is armed with fast slamming riffs and a lot of squeals (vocally and instrumentally). But when this song is finished there is a little weird little surprise called ‘Slamming Riffs and Footlong Spliffs’. Grindcore/Goregrind meets Slam death metal… Must I say more?

 

When I heard that Dehumanization signed with Morbid Generation, I was thrilled to hear their album and now that I have it, I give this debut-album an 8 out of 10. Amazing work guys!!!
