Sanity Obscure - Subterranean Constellation

Sanity Obscure is a progressive thrash metal band all the way from Singapore. This band stands strong with 5 members that have produced 2 albums including Subterranean Constellation.
Today it is my duty to review this album. The album contains 8 songs and the total playtime of the album is around 25 minutes. When I saw the word progressive I immediately thought about an album that I've reviewed a while ago from the band Empire Of The Scourged. I'm not the biggest fan of progressive metal because it can go either wrong or good.
The first song of this album is called 'Dreams-Manifestations' . It seems like some kind of introduction of what you can expect. It sounds a little black metallish but it sounds promising.
Going into the second song which is called 'Rise Of The Machines'. First thing that came to my mind was 'Death'. It really sound a lot like the band Death but that's a big comparison to make. This is a song that I could really like if the production was done better.
Next one is called 'Incarceration Divine'. With this song I really doubt if this isn't progressive black metal and not progressive thrash metal which they call it by themselves. The song is really catchy and there are pieces where my head began to headbang! My favourite song of the album!
'Synergistic Permutations' is the following song. This is where they put the name progressive thrash metal to the test. What's really a shame is that on the end of the song they have this little 'solo' thing which not completely ruins the song but leaves a big negative mark on the song.
Next song 'Patient Zero'. A good thrash song with some noticeable death metal influences. Again, the solo isn't really a well produced solo because it really doesn't fit in musically. Further it is a good thrash/death song and fits well on the album.
'Doublethink' is next up. Progressive pur sang. A perfect example what Sanity Obscure wants to be know of. If they hold on to this kind of music then more people would be familiar with the fairly unknown genre of progressive thrash metal.
Almost at the end of the album. 'Hyperboraes' is the title of this song. Well with progressive music you don't have to expect the same every song but somehow this seems really familiar with some of the previous songs. It doesn't stand out as an individual song which I want to hear when I listen to a progressive metal song.
Save the last for best people say, let's hope that 'Afflicted Mind' can knock of 'Incarceration Divine' as my favourite song of the album. That really doesn't happen because it feels like 'Afflicted Mind' (which is an awesome song title) was written because it has to be on the album to make it a full length album. None the less there are some good riffs in this song.
I give every band a chance of every genre and even genres that I like, then I really want to get surprised by that band and Sanity Obscure haven't done that. There were good songs but just good and not outstanding songs except 'Incarceration Divine' which was killer! Guys work on finding the right sound and production-wise there are some scratches that need to be taken care off.
Sanity Obscure - Subterranean Constellation: 6,5 out of 10.
